Documentary Tracking Photography: Icon Tower – Xujiahui Center徐家汇

Since the 632-meter Shanghai Tower rose in Pudong,浦东 claiming the titles of China’s tallest and the world’s third-tallest building, the Puxi浦西 skyline across the river has appeared somewhat scattered and low-rise in comparison. For this very reason, when Puxi set out to build a new landmark, I began quietly following the progress of what would become the future “tallest skyscraper in Puxi”.

From groundbreaking to vertical construction, from structural framing to final completion, I have continuously tracked and documented the construction of Xujiahui Center through my lens, capturing its upward growth at irregular intervals. Today, this 370-meter tower has been fully finished, adding the most striking highlight to the Puxi skyline.
